Diving right in.

So I’ve been contemplating on where I want to go with this blog.  Where I want to start.  I was thinking of doing an about me post, but I think I will wait a bit to do that.  I’m sure those of you who do not know who I am want to have some background. I’m just not sure if I want to type it all out, copy paste from my health tumblr about me page, or just link you to that.

So until then, deal with this lol.

The past few weeks have been a HUGE struggle for me in terms of motivation and consistency.  Before this week, I had done Rugged Maniac on the 3rd and 2 workouts over week apart after that.  I just haven’t been into doing anything.  I”d gained almost 10lbs and I was more than happy just sitting at home whining about the fact that I wasn’t doing anything.

The good thing here, is I quit smoking on June 2nd mostly due to my asthma flaring up again causing a bad cough and general feeling like poop.  I decided the night before Rugged Maniac that I was on my last cigarette.  I was trying to hold out til I had finished the carton (3.5 packs left) but decided not to.  Those 3 packs are still wrapped and the half I gave to a friend.

The cough I had after that was even worse due to clearing out my lungs.  But I finally feel better!  And I’ve managed to get to the gym 3 days in a row now!

I have Tough Mudder coming up in the middle of August so my training is a bit all over.  I haven’t quite figured out a consistent plan but I’m moving and that is all that important at this point.  Right now I’m going to do a push/legs/pull/rest split.  Tomorrow is supposed to be my rest day, but I”ll probably take the dog for a walk and do some light cardio to keep my steps up to 11,000 (my goal)

I love lifting.  I love the body changes.  I love feeling strong, being strong, and looking strong.  I have a ways to go on things but I am confident I’ll get there one day.

I think I’ll make a future blog about who inspires me.  I don’t want to give it away quite yet so I”m not going to tell you now hehe.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!  I’m not going to make this first post a long one, just want to say hi and thank you (again lol).

So the purpose of this blog is to document my swole journey!  I’m about half way to my “weight goal” tho I do keep changing it as my body changes.
